I have basically everything completed in my fieldwork. Unfortunately, the class I have chosen to observe was only a single class once a week that lasts 50 minutes. Therefore, I only had 50 minutes to take fieldnotes and do fieldwork. Consequently, I already have all of my information needed. I have multiple pieces of representative data. I have countless notes, a syllabus, an interview, worksheets, and review papers.

Yes,  I have been taking fieldnotes, but I haven't been taking them religiously or constantly because that is impossible. I only had 50 minutes of class time to take fieldnotes, and the class does not meet again until next Monday. I have a few theories regarding my fieldnotes, however. The class I have chosen is definitely a discourse community. One theory I have formed is that there is a clear hierarchical structure in the community. The students are lowest, and they receive information from the Teaching Assistant, who receives information from the Professor. Also, there are clear methods of communication and jargon used by individuals in the community-I have multiple examples in my notes. Finally, the purpose of the class is very clear: to learn and grow in knowledge, specifically regarding Mathematics.

Honestly, I'm very worried about this project. I feel like I am doing everything wrong and I'm not completely sure if all of the things I have done so far are adequate or correct. In the sense of having things completed, I am doing fine. I have my interview and sufficient fieldnotes, but I'm not sure how I'm going to structure all of this into a paper. I'm very worried that my final project will be insufficient.
