Quotes and Sources

A quote is an integration of words someone said in an article, novel, or any other textual piece of work. Sometimes, a quote can also be from a movie or video. We quote other writers in our own work to help explain our point, and use these quotes to support our own point as evidence. I integrate quotes and sources in my work quite often. I feel as though having a quote or a source somewhere in my paragraph can really help the flow of the entire thing, allowing myself to analyze this quote to better prove the point I am trying to make. Yes, I think my use of sources is very effective. I have been using quotes my entire life and I cannot think of an essay I had to write that didn't involve a quote of some sorts. Usually, I try to find quotes that are very effective and work well with my paper. Basically, I try to find quotes that work around my thesis statement, rather than finding quotes first and building a thesis off of that. I try to not allow quotes to control my paper, but rather let them help me explain my thoughts.
