Journal 2: Reflecting on Project Builder 1

     Throughout my entire time working on Project Builder 1, I found myself having trouble finding appropriate genres that were part of my everyday life and were not basic, such as the genre of a novel. When I first read the prompt for Project Builder 1, I assumed I was supposed to find genres that were not necessarily what people would think of when they heard the word genre, so I found myself having to brainstorm multiple ideas while I was writing. I'm not sure if my interpretation of the prompt was correct, but I found myself enjoying writing about topics I was familiar with, such as YouTube, and I am glad I interpreted the prompt in that way. 

      Currently, I have not brainstormed many ideas for the WP1. When I first looked at the prompt, a few ideas came into my head, but I didn't think more about these ideas. Some of my ideas include astronomy, climate change, and vaccination, all topics I am very passionate about and feel that I could write strongly about. In order to decide which of these three topics I will choose for the WP1, I am going to have to find sources for all three and choose what works best for my essay based on those sources.
